Meet the founders!
Greenhouse Innovation Accelerator is founded by long-term collaborators Dan Akers and Simon Edwards. Dan and Simon have been running events and supporting businesses – both individually and together – for over 15 years.
Since 2016, they’ve run around a hundred diverse business events, building a community over 3,500 people across the region and further afield. They include interactive innovation events, events around timely topics and specific industry issues, “show-and-tells”, startup fairs, talk shows, networking (and netWINEing)… and everything from cereal mixing breakfasts through to serious after parties.
All the events they run are designed to be approachable, innovative and accessible, and work as well for students, entrepreneurs and well-seasoned business professionals.
When not running events, Simon and Dan have worked with 100s of startups, scale-ups and enterprise level businesses, helping them innovate and accelerate. Blending together events and innovation brings us to the Greenhouse Innovation Programme – a year of events discussing the ‘existential’ challenges facing businesses today… sustainability, diversity, inclusion and spaces.
Greenhouse Innovation Accelerator is founded by long-term collaborators Dan Akers and Simon Edwards, along with Sophie Bartlett. Dan and Simon have been running events and supporting businesses – both individually and together – for over 15 years. They met Sophie in 2016 when she joined one of their previous projects. After 6 years the band is getting back together, not that there was a break-up or anything!

Blending together events and innovation brings us nicely back to the purpose of the Greenhouse Innovation Programme, the member-centric and events-led innovation community, designed to accelerate everyone…and have fun in the process!
